Fringe 2018 @ After the House Lights

Some of you may remember my Fringe 2014Fringe 2015 Fringe 2016, and Fringe 2017 preview binges, where I previewed every Fringe show that sent me a media release prior to the start of the festival. Those preview series were so much fun for me, readers, and artists and a great way to get an overview of typically over 50% of the shows that happened at each of those four Fringe festivals!

This year, I’ve got some exciting changes in my personal life (stay tuned to my Instagram and Twitter in the next couple weeks to learn more) that will definitely leave me short on time this summer so I won’t be publishing my usual preview series this summer. Instead, I’m going to be highlighting people doing amazing things in Edmonton and explore how they Fringe!

Stay tuned for some great interviews/profiles over the next couple weeks! I’m really excited about the folks I’ve got participating.

In the meantime, if you’re wondering where you’re going to get your fix, I’m excited that Mel Priestley is going to be writing a #yegfringe email roundup for Taproot Edmonton.

If you’re not familiar with Taproot Edmonton, an organization fostering a new curiosity-driven approach to local journalism with the support of its members who “seed” ideas into the story garden. Those ideas are eventually turned into stories for everyone to read. If you’re interested in Taproot Edmonton, you can check out their past stories or the current weekly Tech Roundup.
