  • L’Unithéâtre and Workshop West are joining forces on Moi, Monsieur, Moi!running February 7 – 11 at La Cité Francophone.
  • The University of Alberta’s Drama Department’s New Works Festival runs February 7 – 12.
  • Rapid Fire Theatre’s teen improv festival, Wildfire, runs February 7 – 25.
  • MacEwan University’s drama department is putting on Footloose, Feb. 8 – 18 at the John L. Haar Theatre.
  • Nikolai Gogol’s Government Inspectorwill be running at the University of Alberta’s Studio Theatre February 9 – 18.
  • The Chinook Series is back! Chinook runs February 9 – 19. Read all about it in Workshop West’s latest newsletter, or on the Chinook Series’ website.
  • Matthew MacKenzie’s newest play, Bustruns at Theatre Network February 9 – 26.


  • Edmonton Opera’s Cinderella runs at the Jubilee February 7 and 9.
  • Ayad Akhtar’s Disgraced is running at the Citadel Theatre until February 12.

From Edmonton, will travel

  • Kenneth T. Williams’ Café Daughter starring Tiffany Ayalik, will be playing at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa June 16 – 18. Once again, this will be a co-production between Workshop West Playwright’s Theatre and Alberta Aboriginal Performing Arts.
  • Send in the Girls announced their newest show, With Glowing Hearts, will be debuting on March 10 at the Jasper Pride Festival (the whole festival runs March 9 – 12).


  • Professional Arts Coalition of Edmonton’s latest newsletter is chock-full of good stuff, including brief notes on the coalition’s discussion of the state of coverage in the arts in Edmonton.
