News about Edmonton’s local arts coverage

  • By now you probably know that Liz Nicholl’s last day at the Edmonton Journal was Friday. While Liz is off to new adventures on her own website 12thnight.ca, Isis Tse has started a petition at Change.org to save the Edmonton Journal’s arts coverage. In addition to signing the petition, Isis also invites folks to contact Editor-in-chief Mark Iype (miype@postmedia.com) and VP editorial, western Canada, Lorne Motley (lmotley@postmedia.com) to voice your concerns.
  • Local actress, producer, writer, and all around theatre professional Ellen Chorley wrote a great Facebook post following Liz’ announcement reminding us of all the great places we can find local arts coverage.
