  • Opening this week:
    • Burning Bluebeard presented by Edmonton Actors Theatre as part of Theatre Network’s Performance Series opens December 3 and runs to December 13 at The Roxy on Gateway.
    • Walterdale Theatre’s production of W;t runs December 2 – 12.
    • Capital City Burlesque‘s Holiday Fantasy runs at the Club in the Citadel three nights only – December 3 – 6.
    • The Christmas Carol project runs December 4 at Festival Place, but it looks like that show is already sold out! They have added a second Edmonton show at The Westbury Theatre in the ATB Financial Arts Barns December 18.
  • Closing this week:
    • The University of Alberta Studio Theatre’s Iphigenia at Aulus closes December 5.
    • Kenneth T. Williams’ Café Daughterpresented by Workshop West in association with Alberta Aboriginal Performing Arts, closes December 6 at The Backstage Theatre.
      • Check out my review! Other publications in the city (the Journal and the Sun) gave the show positive reviews as well.
  • The 2016 Edmonton International Fringe Festival lottery is tonight at the ATB Financial Arts Barns. I’ll be drawing the plays in the TYA category, starting at 7:00. See you there!

  • What It Is Podcast released their latest episode – episode 90 – where they chat with improvisers Jordan Ward & Dallas Friesen as well as the director (Dave Horak) and some of the cast (Braydon Dowler-Coltman, Vince Forcier, Richelle Thoreson) of Burning Bluebeard, which goes up at The Roxy on Gateway this week.
