  • Opening this week:
    • Die Nasty‘s season 25 starts tonight! This year, their season takes place in Paris between 1919 – 1925. Read all about it in the Journal.
    • The Last Five Years opens at The Roxy on Gateway October 29 and runs until November 15.
    • Shadow Theatre’s The Best Brothers by Daniel MacIvor runs October 28 – November 15 at The Backstage Theatre.
    • MacEwan University’s production of Nice Work If You Can Get It plays October 28 – November 7.
    • The Citadel’s co-production of Evangeline with the Charlottetown Festival opens at the Citadel October 31 after running at the Charlottetown Festival in September. Evangeline runs in Edmonton until November 22.
      • Servus Pay-What-You-Can Sunday is November 1!
    • Halloween burlesque, music, drag, and improv? Yes, please! Cadaveret is October 30 and 31 and features a variety of performers, including Send in the Girls and the 11 O’Clock Number.
  • Closing this week:
    • Dead Centre of Town closes on Halloween. Tickets have been selling fast for this production, so if you’re planning on going, make sure you get them early.
    • Edmonton Opera’s The Merry Widow closes October 29.
  • Catalyst Theatre has a new logo and has just opened an exhibition, All Our Unworldly Possessions, in the Lee Pavilion at the Citadel Theatre. Read all about it in their latest newsletter.
