  • Opening this week:
    • The final show of The Nuova Opera & Music Theatre Festival Dead Man Walking running at Festival place June 30, and July 2, 3, and 4.
    • Walterdale Theatre’s final production of the season, A Man of No Importanceruns July 2 – 12.
    • Did you catch YEG DND at NextFest? If you want another taste of them (or your first taste), they’ll be performing at the Mercury Theatre July 2, 3, and 4.
    • Toy Guns Dance Theatre is bringing Propylene Glycol, Maltodextrin, Retinol Palpitate and Other Words I Don’t Understand Like Love back to Edmonton after a cross-Canada tour. This time they’ll be performing at the Mattress, Mattress on St. Albert Trail, which is perfect as this is their show involving 300 pillows. The show runs July 3, 4, and 5.
  • Closing this week:
    • Oklahoma!, presented as part of the Nuova Opera & Music Theatre Festival – final show is July 1.
    • Saint Albert by Stewart Lemoine at the Backstage Theatre in the ATB Arts Barns until July 4.
  • Congrats to all the nominees and winners of the 2015 Sterling Awards!
  • The submission deadline for Theatre Alberta’s printed playbill is Tuesday, June 30.
  • The Freewill Shakespeare Festival opened last week and goes until July 19Check out reviews from Mark Morris from the Edmonton Journal for Coriolanus and As You Like It.
  • Kristen writes about her doubleheader Saturday, seeing both Saint Albert and Calvin Berger.
