    • Opening this week:
      • Miss Saigon, produced by Two One-Way Tickets to Broadway, at La Cité Francophone June 12 – 28
      • Die-Nasty’s Hey, Hey We’re the Mounties at The Capitol Theatre is June 12 and 13, and returns July 24 and 25.
    • Closing this week
      • NextFest wraps up on Sunday, June 14 so you have seven more days to cram as many performances into your schedule as possible! This year due to the loss of The Roxy and The Artery, performances take place at 29 venues across the city.
    • Speaking of NextFest, the guys from my favourite podcast, the What It Is podcast, have headed over to the NXTFST Podcast and are releasing daily episodes featuring interviews with artists and curators.
    • The Edmonton Arts Council’s AGM is tonight at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre. Newly-appointed Minister of Education and Minister of Culture and Tourism, David Eggen will bring greetings from the Government of Alberta.
    • Theatre Alberta’s June Theatre Buzz is out and they’re looking for submissions for their 2015/2016 playbill. The deadline for the printed version of the playbill is June 30, 2015.
    • Shadow Theatre announced it’s 2015/2016 season.
    • The Sterling Award nominations were announced last week, and Savanna Harvey posted this awesome re-cap video about it for those who couldn’t attend in person. Congrats to all the nominees! All the nominees are also now up on the Sterling’s website.
