Edmonton downstage | 02.02.2015

This week’s Edmonton downstage, my weekly look at Edmonton’s theatre community, is a little delayed because, as many of you know, I was soaking up the rays in Mexico with my Mom last week. Before we get started, I want to give a big shout out to Taylor Chadwick of the What it is podcast and Hayley Moorhouse, an up-and-coming theatre artist (among other places Hayley will also be showcasing her writing at the SkirtsAfire 2015 Peep Show). These two guest-blogged up a storm about the 2015 Canoe Theatre Festival, which happened last week – check out their posts here.

On to what’s happening in Edmonton theatre this week:

I’m honored to meet intermittently the very talented James Hamilton and his equally talented wife Cat in the hallway of our apartment building in west downtown Oliver area, Edmonton, AB. They are good neighbors, almost as friendly as their pup Daisy, who loves my doggie treats and strains at the leash whenever we meet! I can’t say that James and Cat strain at their leashes, but they are friendly and pleasant neighbors, and I think this young couple deserves all the success they have achieved, and more. Good luck in the future, James and Cat!
