      • Die Nasty’s first show of the season is tonight at the Varscona! This season Die Nasty will take us to the world of vikings. Learn more about their season on the Varscona’s website.
      • Walterdale’s season opener And Then the Lights Went Out opened last week. Check out my review, the St. Albert Gazette’s review, or Vue Weekly’s preview.
      • Ronnie Burkett’s The Daisy Theatre also opened last week and was reviewed by myself, Liz Nicholls, and Colin MacLean.
      • Punctuate! Theatre is holding its biannual fundraiser November 1 – tickets are $50 on YEGLive.ca.
      • The What It Is Podcast released Episode 56: Lizard People, where they talk about films and web series.
      • Catalyst Theatre is looking for volunteers to help out with Elephant Wake
      • The Citadel announced for it’s 50th season, it will be co-producing Evangeline with the Charlottetown Festival. As the Journal reports, the musical was written by Ted Dykstra, who is originally from St. Albert, and portrays the expulsion of the Acadians by the British.

      • It’s been a busy week for the Citadel – they’ve released interviews with five actors in the upcoming One Man, Two Guvnors. Check out their YouTube channel for all videos. Previews for One Man, Two Guvnors start this Saturday.
      • Of course, Saturday is also the fundraiser for SkirtsAfire HerArts Festival I’ve been helping to plan. Tickets are 60% sold, so make sure you get yours in advance! The evening will feature a chocolate and wine tasting by Choklat, music by the Lindsey Walker Ban and Nuela Charles and a special sneak-peak at Nicole Moeller’s new play, The Mothers, which will premiere at the 2015 SkirtsAfire Festival in March. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door.
